Special guest this year is Canberra’s own Tim Kirk, Clonakilla master winemaker, with wines matched to Janet Jeffs’ special solstice dishes on sale by the glass.

A highlight of the Canberra calendar is the spectacular success of local truffieres like Sherry McArdle-English, who tells of this season's experiences in growing and harvesting fine truffles in the Canberra region. Featuring French black truffles in a menu that includes the all-time favourite, our truffled boudin blanc.

The Kitchen Cabinet autumn harvest
Call in to our great new cafe at the front entrance to Old Parliament House. The terrace tables are a great spot for coffee, lunch, a lazy afternoon tea, or a relaxing drink between galleries and museums. Or take away our fabulous pies - and this week's Mirabelle plum tarts - for a divine lunch in the Rose Gardens!

Savouring the season
Quinces are here - and full-of-flavour veges from Allsun Organic Farms. Janet has made some terrific Cypress Valley smoked trout pate and don't miss our regular deliveries of the tender and tasty Thirlmere chooks and ducks - and we have local potatoes and garlic.
